彼得前书第2章

¹所 以 ， 你 们 既 除 去 一 切 的 恶 毒 （ 或 译 ： 阴 毒 ） 、 诡 诈 ， 并 假 善 、 嫉 妒 ， 和 一 切 毁 谤 的 话 ，Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

²就 要 爱 慕 那 纯 净 的 灵 奶 ， 像 才 生 的 婴 孩 爱 慕 奶 一 样 ， 叫 你 们 因 此 渐 长 ， 以 致 得 救 。As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

³你 们 若 尝 过 主 恩 的 滋 味 ， 就 必 如 此 。If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

⁴主 乃 活 石 ， 固 然 是 被 人 所 弃 的 ， 却 是 被 神 所 拣 选 、 所 宝 贵 的 。To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

⁵你 们 来 到 主 面 前 ， 也 就 像 活 石 ， 被 建 造 成 为 灵 宫 ， 作 圣 洁 的 祭 司 ， 藉 着 耶 稣 基 督 奉 献 神 所 悦 纳 的 灵 祭 。Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

⁶因 为 经 上 说 ： 看 哪 ， 我 把 所 拣 选 、 所 宝 贵 的 房 角 石 安 放 在 锡 安 ； 信 靠 他 的 人 必 不 至 於 羞 愧 。Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

⁷所 以 ， 他 在 你 们 信 的 人 就 为 宝 贵 ， 在 那 不 信 的 人 有 话 说 ： 匠 人 所 弃 的 石 头 已 作 了 房 角 的 头 块 石 头 。Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

⁸又 说 ： 作 了 绊 脚 的 石 头 ， 跌 人 的 磐 石 。 他 们 既 不 顺 从 ， 就 在 道 理 上 绊 跌 （ 或 译 ： 他 们 绊 跌 都 因 不 顺 从 道 理 ） ； 他 们 这 样 绊 跌 也 是 预 定 的 。And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

⁹惟 有 你 们 是 被 拣 选 的 族 类 ， 是 有 君 尊 的 祭 司 ， 是 圣 洁 的 国 度 ， 是 属 神 的 子 民 ， 要 叫 你 们 宣 扬 那 召 你 们 出 黑 暗 入 奇 妙 光 明 者 的 美 德 。But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

¹⁰你 们 从 前 算 不 得 子 民 ， 现 在 却 作 了 神 的 子 民 ； 从 前 未 曾 蒙 怜 恤 ， 现 在 却 蒙 了 怜 恤 。Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

¹¹亲 爱 的 弟 兄 阿 ， 你 们 是 客 旅 ， 是 寄 居 的 。 我 劝 你 们 要 禁 戒 肉 体 的 私 欲 ； 这 私 欲 是 与 灵 魂 争 战 的 。Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

¹²你 们 在 外 邦 人 中 ， 应 当 品 行 端 正 ， 叫 那 些 毁 谤 你 们 是 作 恶 的 ， 因 看 见 你 们 的 好 行 为 ， 便 在 鉴 察 （ 或 作 ： 眷 顾 ） 的 日 子 归 荣 耀 给 神 。Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

¹³你 们 为 主 的 缘 故 ， 要 顺 服 人 的 一 切 制 度 ， 或 是 在 上 的 君 王 ，Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

¹⁴或 是 君 王 所 派 罚 恶 赏 善 的 臣 宰 。Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

¹⁵因 为 神 的 旨 意 原 是 要 你 们 行 善 ， 可 以 堵 住 那 糊 涂 无 知 人 的 口 。For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

¹⁶你 们 虽 是 自 由 的 ， 却 不 可 藉 着 自 由 遮 盖 恶 毒 （ 或 译 ： 阴 毒 ） ， 总 要 作 神 的 仆 人 。As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

¹⁷务 要 尊 敬 众 人 ， 亲 爱 教 中 的 弟 兄 ， 敬 畏 神 ， 尊 敬 君 王 。Honour all men . Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

¹⁸你 们 作 仆 人 的 ， 凡 事 要 存 敬 畏 的 心 顺 服 主 人 ； 不 但 顺 服 那 善 良 温 和 的 ， 就 是 那 乖 僻 的 也 要 顺 服 。Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

¹⁹倘 若 人 为 叫 良 心 对 得 住 神 ， 就 忍 受 冤 屈 的 苦 楚 ， 这 是 可 喜 爱 的 。For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

²⁰你 们 若 因 犯 罪 受 责 打 ， 能 忍 耐 ， 有 甚 麽 可 夸 的 呢 ？ 但 你 们 若 因 行 善 受 苦 ， 能 忍 耐 ， 这 在 神 看 是 可 喜 爱 的 。For what glory is it , if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it , ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

²¹你 们 蒙 召 原 是 为 此 ； 因 基 督 也 为 你 们 受 过 苦 ， 给 你 们 留 下 榜 样 ， 叫 你 们 跟 随 他 的 脚 踪 行 。For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

²²他 并 没 有 犯 罪 ， 口 里 也 没 有 诡 诈 。Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

²³他 被 骂 不 还 口 ； 受 害 不 说 威 吓 的 话 ， 只 将 自 己 交 托 那 按 公 义 审 判 人 的 主 。Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

²⁴他 被 挂 在 木 头 上 ， 亲 身 担 当 了 我 们 的 罪 ， 使 我 们 既 然 在 罪 上 死 ， 就 得 以 在 义 上 活 。 因 他 受 的 鞭 伤 ， 你 们 便 得 了 医 治 。Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

²⁵你 们 从 前 好 像 迷 路 的 羊 ， 如 今 却 归 到 你 们 灵 魂 的 牧 人 监 督 了 。For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
