彼得后书第3章

¹亲 爱 的 弟 兄 阿 ， 我 现 在 写 给 你 们 的 是 第 二 封 信 。 这 两 封 都 是 提 醒 你 们 ， 激 发 你 们 诚 实 的 心 ，This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

²叫 你 们 记 念 圣 先 知 预 先 所 说 的 话 和 主 救 主 的 命 令 ， 就 是 使 徒 所 传 给 你 们 的 。That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

³第 一 要 紧 的 ， 该 知 道 在 末 世 必 有 好 讥 诮 的 人 随 从 自 己 的 私 欲 出 来 讥 诮 说 ：Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

⁴「 主 要 降 临 的 应 许 在 那 里 呢 ？ 因 为 从 列 祖 睡 了 以 来 ， 万 物 与 起 初 创 造 的 时 候 仍 是 一 样 。 」And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

⁵他 们 故 意 忘 记 ， 从 太 古 ， 凭 神 的 命 有 了 天 ， 并 从 水 而 出 、 藉 水 而 成 的 地 。For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

⁶故 此 ， 当 时 的 世 界 被 水 淹 没 就 消 灭 了 。Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

⁷但 现 在 的 天 地 还 是 凭 着 那 命 存 留 ， 直 留 到 不 敬 虔 之 人 受 审 判 遭 沉 沦 的 日 子 ， 用 火 焚 烧 。But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

⁸亲 爱 的 弟 兄 阿 ， 有 一 件 事 你 们 不 可 忘 记 ， 就 是 主 看 一 日 如 千 年 ， 千 年 如 一 日 。But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

⁹主 所 应 许 的 尚 未 成 就 ， 有 人 以 为 他 是 耽 延 ， 其 实 不 是 耽 延 ， 乃 是 宽 容 你 们 ， 不 愿 有 一 人 沉 沦 ， 乃 愿 人 人 都 悔 改 。The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

¹⁰但 主 的 日 子 要 像 贼 来 到 一 样 。 那 日 ， 天 必 大 有 响 声 废 去 ， 有 形 质 的 都 要 被 烈 火 销 化 ， 地 和 其 上 的 物 都 要 烧 尽 了 。But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

¹¹这 一 切 既 然 都 要 如 此 销 化 ， 你 们 为 人 该 当 怎 样 圣 洁 ， 怎 样 敬 虔 ，Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

¹²切 切 仰 望 神 的 日 子 来 到 。 在 那 日 ， 天 被 火 烧 就 销 化 了 ， 有 形 质 的 都 要 被 烈 火 ? 化 。Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

¹³但 我 们 照 他 的 应 许 ， 盼 望 新 天 新 地 ， 有 义 居 在 其 中 。Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

¹⁴亲 爱 的 弟 兄 阿 ， 你 们 既 盼 望 这 些 事 ， 就 当 殷 勤 ， 使 自 己 没 有 玷 污 ， 无 可 指 摘 ， 安 然 见 主 ；Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

¹⁵并 且 要 以 我 主 长 久 忍 耐 为 得 救 的 因 由 ， 就 如 我 们 所 亲 爱 的 兄 弟 保 罗 ， 照 着 所 赐 给 他 的 智 慧 写 了 信 给 你 们 。And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

¹⁶他 一 切 的 信 上 也 都 是 讲 论 这 事 。 信 中 有 些 难 明 白 的 ， 那 无 学 问 、 不 坚 固 的 人 强 解 ， 如 强 解 别 的 经 书 一 样 ， 就 自 取 沉 沦 。As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

¹⁷亲 爱 的 弟 兄 阿 ， 你 们 既 然 预 先 知 道 这 事 ， 就 当 防 备 ， 恐 怕 被 恶 人 的 错 谬 诱 惑 ， 就 从 自 己 坚 固 的 地 步 上 坠 落 。Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

¹⁸你 们 却 要 在 我 们 主 ─ 救 主 耶 稣 基 督 的 恩 典 和 知 识 上 有 长 进 。 愿 荣 耀 归 给 他 ， 从 今 直 到 永 远 。 阿 们 ！But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
