出埃及记第2章

¹有 一 个 利 未 家 的 人 娶 了 一 个 利 未 女 子 为 妻 。And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.

²那 女 人 怀 孕 ， 生 一 个 儿 子 ， 见 他 俊 美 ， 就 藏 了 他 三 个 月 ，And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child , she hid him three months.

³後 来 不 能 再 藏 ， 就 取 了 一 个 蒲 草 箱 ， 抹 上 石 漆 和 石 油 ， 将 孩 子 放 在 里 头 ， 把 箱 子 搁 在 河 边 的 芦 荻 中 。And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.

⁴孩 子 的 姊 姊 远 远 站 着 ， 要 知 道 他 究 竟 怎 麽 样 。And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.

⁵法 老 的 女 儿 来 到 河 边 洗 澡 ， 他 的 使 女 们 在 河 边 行 走 。 他 看 见 箱 子 在 芦 荻 中 ， 就 打 发 一 个 婢 女 拿 来 。And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.

⁶他 打 开 箱 子 ， 看 见 那 孩 子 。 孩 子 哭 了 ， 他 就 可 怜 他 ， 说 ： 「 这 是 希 伯 来 人 的 一 个 孩 子 。 」And when she had opened it , she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.

⁷孩 子 的 姊 姊 对 法 老 的 女 儿 说 ： 「 我 去 在 希 伯 来 妇 人 中 叫 一 个 奶 妈 来 ， 为 你 奶 这 孩 子 ， 可 以 不 可 以 ？ 」Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?

⁸法 老 的 女 儿 说 ： 「 可 以 。 」 童 女 就 去 叫 了 孩 子 的 母 亲 来 。And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.

⁹法 老 的 女 儿 对 他 说 ： 「 你 把 这 孩 子 抱 去 ， 为 我 奶 他 ， 我 必 给 你 工 价 。 」 妇 人 就 抱 了 孩 子 去 奶 他 。And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the woman took the child, and nursed it.

¹⁰孩 子 渐 长 ， 妇 人 把 他 带 到 法 老 的 女 儿 那 里 ， 就 作 了 他 的 儿 子 。 他 给 孩 子 起 名 叫 摩 西 ， 意 思 说 ： 因 我 把 他 从 水 里 拉 出 来 。And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

¹¹後 来 ， 摩 西 长 大 ， 他 出 去 到 他 弟 兄 那 里 ， 看 他 们 的 重 担 ， 见 一 个 埃 及 人 打 希 伯 来 人 的 一 个 弟 兄 。And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

¹²他 左 右 观 看 ， 见 没 有 人 ， 就 把 埃 及 人 打 死 了 ， 藏 在 沙 土 里 。And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

¹³第 二 天 他 出 去 ， 见 有 两 个 希 伯 来 人 争 斗 ， 就 对 那 欺 负 人 的 说 ： 「 你 为 甚 麽 打 你 同 族 的 人 呢 ？ 」And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?

¹⁴那 人 说 ： 「 谁 立 你 作 我 们 的 首 领 和 审 判 官 呢 ？ 难 道 你 要 杀 我 ， 像 杀 那 埃 及 人 麽 ？ 」 摩 西 便 惧 怕 ， 说 ： 「 这 事 必 是 被 人 知 道 了 。 」And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

¹⁵法 老 听 见 这 事 ， 就 想 杀 摩 西 ， 但 摩 西 躲 避 法 老 ， 逃 往 米 甸 地 居 住 。Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

¹⁶一 日 ， 他 在 井 旁 坐 下 。 米 甸 的 祭 司 有 七 个 女 儿 ； 他 们 来 打 水 ， 打 满 了 槽 ， 要 饮 父 亲 的 群 羊 。Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water , and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.

¹⁷有 牧 羊 的 人 来 ， 把 他 们 赶 走 了 ， 摩 西 却 起 来 帮 助 他 们 ， 又 饮 了 他 们 的 群 羊 。And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

¹⁸他 们 来 到 父 亲 流 珥 那 里 ； 他 说 ： 「 今 日 你 们 为 何 来 得 这 麽 快 呢 ？ 」And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day?

¹⁹他 们 说 ： 「 有 一 个 埃 及 人 救 我 们 脱 离 牧 羊 人 的 手 ， 并 且 为 我 们 打 水 饮 了 群 羊 。 」And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.

²⁰他 对 女 儿 们 说 ： 「 那 个 人 在 那 里 ？ 你 们 为 甚 麽 撇 下 他 呢 ？ 你 们 去 请 他 来 吃 饭 。 」And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

²¹摩 西 甘 心 和 那 人 同 住 ； 那 人 把 他 的 女 儿 西 坡 拉 给 摩 西 为 妻 。And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.

²²西 坡 拉 生 了 一 个 儿 子 ， 摩 西 给 他 起 名 叫 革 舜 ， 意 思 说 ： 「 因 我 在 外 邦 作 了 寄 居 的 。 」And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.

²³过 了 多 年 ， 埃 及 王 死 了 。 以 色 列 人 因 做 苦 工 ， 就 叹 息 哀 求 ， 他 们 的 哀 声 达 於 神 。And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

²⁴神 听 见 他 们 的 哀 声 ， 就 记 念 他 与 亚 伯 拉 罕 、 以 撒 、 雅 各 所 立 的 约 。And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

²⁵神 看 顾 以 色 列 人 ， 也 知 道 他 们 的 苦 情 。And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them .
