创世记第11章

¹那 时 ， 天 下 人 的 口 音 、 言 语 都 是 一 样 。And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

²他 们 往 东 边 迁 移 的 时 候 ， 在 示 拿 地 遇 见 一 片 平 原 ， 就 住 在 那 里 。And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

³他 们 彼 此 商 量 说 ： 来 罢 ！ 我 们 要 作 砖 ， 把 砖 烧 透 了 。 他 们 就 拿 砖 当 石 头 ， 又 拿 石 漆 当 灰 泥 。And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.

⁴他 们 说 ： 来 罢 ！ 我 们 要 建 造 一 座 城 和 一 座 塔 ， 塔 顶 通 天 ， 为 要 传 扬 我 们 的 名 ， 免 得 我 们 分 散 在 全 地 上 。And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

⁵耶 和 华 降 临 ， 要 看 看 世 人 所 建 造 的 城 和 塔 。And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

⁶耶 和 华 说 ： 看 哪 ， 他 们 成 为 一 样 的 人 民 ， 都 是 一 样 的 言 语 ， 如 今 既 作 起 这 事 来 ， 以 後 他 们 所 要 作 的 事 就 没 有 不 成 就 的 了 。And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

⁷我 们 下 去 ， 在 那 里 变 乱 他 们 的 口 音 ， 使 他 们 的 言 语 彼 此 不 通 。Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

⁸於 是 耶 和 华 使 他 们 从 那 里 分 散 在 全 地 上 ； 他 们 就 停 工 ， 不 造 那 城 了 。So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

⁹因 为 耶 和 华 在 那 里 变 乱 天 下 人 的 言 语 ， 使 众 人 分 散 在 全 地 上 ， 所 以 那 城 名 叫 巴 别 ( 就 是 变 乱 的 意 思 ) 。Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

¹⁰闪 的 後 代 记 在 下 面 。 洪 水 以 後 二 年 ， 闪 一 百 岁 生 了 亚 法 撒 。These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:

¹¹闪 生 亚 法 撒 之 後 又 活 了 五 百 年 ， 并 且 生 儿 养 女 。And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

¹²亚 法 撒 活 到 三 十 五 岁 ， 生 了 沙 拉 。And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:

¹³亚 法 撒 生 沙 拉 之 後 又 活 了 四 百 零 三 年 ， 并 且 生 儿 养 女 。And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

¹⁴沙 拉 活 到 三 十 岁 ， 生 了 希 伯 。And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:

¹⁵沙 拉 生 希 伯 之 後 又 活 了 四 百 零 三 年 ， 并 且 生 儿 养 女 。And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

¹⁶希 伯 活 到 三 十 四 岁 ， 生 了 法 勒 。And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:

¹⁷希 伯 生 法 勒 之 後 又 活 了 四 百 三 十 年 ， 并 且 生 儿 养 女 。And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.

¹⁸法 勒 活 到 三 十 岁 ， 生 了 拉 吴 。And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:

¹⁹法 勒 生 拉 吴 之 後 又 活 了 二 百 零 九 年 ， 并 且 生 儿 养 女 。And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.

²⁰拉 吴 活 到 三 十 二 岁 ， 生 了 西 鹿 。And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:

²¹拉 吴 生 西 鹿 之 後 又 活 了 二 百 零 七 年 ， 并 且 生 儿 养 女 。And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.

²²西 鹿 活 到 三 十 岁 ， 生 了 拿 鹤 。And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:

²³西 鹿 生 拿 鹤 之 後 又 活 了 二 百 年 ， 并 且 生 儿 养 女 。And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

²⁴拿 鹤 活 到 二 十 九 岁 ， 生 了 他 拉 。And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:

²⁵拿 鹤 生 他 拉 之 後 又 活 了 一 百 一 十 九 年 ， 并 且 生 儿 养 女 。And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.

²⁶他 拉 活 到 七 十 岁 ， 生 了 亚 伯 兰 、 拿 鹤 、 哈 兰 。And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

²⁷他 拉 的 後 代 记 在 下 面 。 他 拉 生 亚 伯 兰 、 拿 鹤 、 哈 兰 ； 哈 兰 生 罗 得 。Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.

²⁸哈 兰 死 在 他 的 本 地 迦 勒 底 的 吾 珥 ， 在 他 父 亲 他 拉 之 先 。And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.

²⁹亚 伯 兰 、 拿 鹤 各 娶 了 妻 ： 亚 伯 兰 的 妻 子 名 叫 撒 莱 ； 拿 鹤 的 妻 子 名 叫 密 迦 ， 是 哈 兰 的 女 儿 ； 哈 兰 是 密 迦 和 亦 迦 的 父 亲 。And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.

³⁰撒 莱 不 生 育 ， 没 有 孩 子 。But Sarai was barren; she had no child.

³¹他 拉 带 着 他 儿 子 亚 伯 兰 和 他 孙 子 哈 兰 的 儿 子 罗 得 ， 并 他 儿 妇 亚 伯 兰 的 妻 子 撒 莱 ， 出 了 迦 勒 底 的 吾 珥 ， 要 往 迦 南 地 去 ； 他 们 走 到 哈 兰 ， 就 住 在 那 里 。And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

³²他 拉 共 活 了 二 百 零 五 岁 ， 就 死 在 哈 兰 。And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.
