哈该书第1章
概览
在大流士王第二年（公元前520年），耶和华的话借着哈该临到那些从被掳之地归回的百姓，他们却说重建神殿的时候还没有到。神两次吩咐他们「省察自己的行为」：他们住在装修华美的房屋里，神的殿却依然荒废，因他们以自己为先，所以收成、工价与劳碌都渐渐枯干。在省长所罗巴伯和大祭司约书亚的带领下，百姓敬畏耶和华、顺服祂，并因祂「我与你们同在」的应许得着鼓励，几周之内便动工修建神的殿。
1大 利 乌 王 第 二 年 六 月 初 一 日 ， 耶 和 华 的 话 藉 先 知 哈 该 向 犹 大 省 长 撒 拉 铁 的 儿 子 所 罗 巴 伯 和 约 撒 答 的 儿 子 大 祭 司 约 书 亚 说 ：In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
2万 军 之 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ： 这 百 姓 说 ， 建 造 耶 和 华 殿 的 时 候 尚 未 来 到 。Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built.
3那 时 耶 和 华 的 话 临 到 先 知 哈 该 说 ：Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
4这 殿 仍 然 荒 凉 ， 你 们 自 己 还 住 天 花 板 的 房 屋 麽 ？Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
5现 在 万 军 之 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ： 你 们 要 省 察 自 己 的 行 为 。Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
6你 们 撒 的 种 多 ， 收 的 却 少 ； 你 们 吃 ， 却 不 得 饱 ； 喝 ， 却 不 得 足 ； 穿 衣 服 ， 却 不 得 暖 ； 得 工 钱 的 ， 将 工 钱 装 在 破 漏 的 囊 中 。Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
7万 军 之 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ： 你 们 要 省 察 自 己 的 行 为 。Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
8你 们 要 上 山 取 木 料 ， 建 造 这 殿 ， 我 就 因 此 喜 乐 ， 且 得 荣 耀 。 这 是 耶 和 华 说 的 。Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.
9你 们 盼 望 多 得 ， 所 得 的 却 少 ； 你 们 收 到 家 中 ， 我 就 吹 去 。 这 是 为 甚 麽 呢 ？ 因 为 我 的 殿 荒 凉 ， 你 们 各 人 却 顾 （ 原 文 是 奔 ） 自 己 的 房 屋 。 这 是 万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 的 。Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
10所 以 为 你 们 的 缘 故 ， 天 就 不 降 甘 露 ， 地 也 不 出 土 产 。Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
11我 命 乾 旱 临 到 地 土 、 山 冈 、 五 谷 、 新 酒 ， 和 油 ， 并 地 上 的 出 产 、 人 民 、 牲 畜 ， 以 及 人 手 一 切 劳 碌 得 来 的 。And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
12那 时 ， 撒 拉 铁 的 儿 子 所 罗 巴 伯 和 约 撒 答 的 儿 子 大 祭 司 约 书 亚 ， 并 剩 下 的 百 姓 ， 都 听 从 耶 和 华 ─ 他 们 神 的 话 和 先 知 哈 该 奉 耶 和 华 ─ 他 们 神 差 来 所 说 的 话 ； 百 姓 也 在 耶 和 华 面 前 存 敬 畏 的 心 。Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
13耶 和 华 的 使 者 哈 该 奉 耶 和 华 差 遣 对 百 姓 说 ： 耶 和 华 说 ： 我 与 你 们 同 在 。Then spake Haggai the LORD'S messenger in the LORD'S message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.
14耶 和 华 激 动 犹 大 省 长 撒 拉 铁 的 儿 子 所 罗 巴 伯 和 约 撒 答 的 儿 子 大 祭 司 约 书 亚 ， 并 剩 下 之 百 姓 的 心 ， 他 们 就 来 为 万 军 之 耶 和 华 ─ 他 们 神 的 殿 做 工 。And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
15这 是 在 大 利 乌 王 第 二 年 六 月 二 十 四 日 。In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
