耶利米书第47章
概览
这是一篇简短而强烈的、针对非利士人的神谕，描绘一股从北方涌来的洪流——巴比伦的军队——漫过他们沿海的城邑。那惊恐何等彻底，以致父亲不回头顾念儿女；迦萨与亚实基伦被洗劫一空、举哀。本章以一声悲痛的呼喊作结，向「耶和华的刀」哀求止息，得到的回答却是：在神所派定对沿海之地的任务完成之前，它不能安静。
1法 老 攻 击 迦 萨 之 先 ， 有 耶 和 华 论 非 利 士 人 的 话 临 到 先 知 耶 利 米 。The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza.
2耶 和 华 如 此 说 ： 有 水 从 北 方 发 起 ， 成 为 涨 溢 的 河 ， 要 涨 过 遍 地 和 其 中 所 有 的 ， 并 城 和 其 中 所 住 的 。 人 必 呼 喊 ； 境 内 的 居 民 都 必 哀 号 。Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
3听 见 敌 人 壮 马 蹄 跳 的 响 声 和 战 车 隆 隆 、 车 轮 轰 轰 ； 为 父 的 手 就 发 软 ， 不 回 头 看 顾 儿 女 。At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses , at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands;
4因 为 日 子 将 到 ， 要 毁 灭 一 切 非 利 士 人 ， 剪 除 帮 助 推 罗 、 西 顿 所 剩 下 的 人 。 原 来 耶 和 华 必 毁 灭 非 利 士 人 ， 就 是 迦 斐 托 海 岛 馀 剩 的 人 。Because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, and to cut off from Tyrus and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the LORD will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor.
5迦 萨 成 了 光 秃 ； 平 原 中 所 剩 的 亚 实 基 伦 归 於 无 有 。 你 用 刀 划 身 ， 要 到 几 时 呢 ？Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself?
6耶 和 华 的 刀 剑 哪 ， 你 到 几 时 才 止 息 呢 ？ 你 要 入 鞘 ， 安 靖 不 动 。O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.
7耶 和 华 既 吩 咐 你 攻 击 亚 实 基 伦 和 海 边 之 地 ， 他 已 经 派 定 你 ， 焉 能 止 息 呢 ？How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it.
