Adam

Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.Genesis 2:7

Biography

Adam was the first human being, formed by God from the dust of the earth and given life by God's own breath. He lived in the Garden of Eden, was given dominion over creation, and was the first to name the animals. God created Eve as his companion. Together they disobeyed God by eating from the forbidden tree, leading to the fall of humanity. Yet even in judgment, God showed mercy by clothing them and promising future redemption through Eve's offspring.

Spiritual Lesson

Adam's story teaches us the gravity of disobedience and its far-reaching consequences, but also the boundless grace of God who pursues the fallen. Our choices affect more than ourselves — they ripple across generations. Yet no human failure is beyond God's redemptive reach. Christ, called the 'last Adam,' undoes everything the first Adam lost.
