Noah
“Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.”Genesis 6:9
Biography
Noah lived in a deeply corrupt generation yet was described as righteous and blameless. God chose him to build the ark to preserve life during the great flood that would judge the world. Noah obeyed precisely and faithfully, spending decades building the ark as a witness to his neighbors. After the flood, God made a covenant with Noah, promising never to destroy the earth by flood again, sealing it with the rainbow as a sign of grace.
Spiritual Lesson
Noah demonstrates that righteous faithfulness is possible even in a godless culture. His perseverance in building the ark for over a century without evidence of coming rain is a monument to trust in God's word. His story also reveals God's heart — one that grieves over sin yet seeks to preserve and renew creation.
