Sarah

Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.Genesis 18:14

Biography

Sarah was Abraham's wife and the mother of Isaac, born miraculously when she was 90 years old and Abraham was 100. She laughed when angels announced she would bear a child in old age, yet God fulfilled his promise exactly as stated. Sarah is praised in Hebrews 11 for her faith in God's faithfulness. She journeyed with Abraham from Ur through Canaan and Egypt, enduring many hardships, remaining a partner in the covenant promise.

Spiritual Lesson

Sarah's story reminds us that God's timing often exceeds human expectation. Her laughter turned from disbelief to joy — a transformation many believers know. She teaches us that God's promises do not expire, and that our limitations are never a barrier to His purposes. What is impossible for us is merely ordinary for God.
