Endurance in Trial

Prayer

Lord, I did not choose this trial, but You have allowed it. Rather than asking only for it to end, I ask that I emerge from it more like Christ. Do the refining work that only difficulty can accomplish. Give me endurance — not gritted teeth but settled confidence that You are in this, that it is purposeful, and that it will not be wasted.
