Waiting on the Lord

Lord, waiting on You is not the same as waiting for a bus. It is active, attentive, expectant. I position myself before You — available, listening, dependent. I am not waiting because nothing is happening; I am waiting because I trust the One who is always working even in the silent seasons. Renew my strength as I wait.
