提摩太前书第2章

¹我 劝 你 ， 第 一 要 为 万 人 恳 求 、 祷 告 、 代 求 、 祝 谢 ；I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

²为 君 王 和 一 切 在 位 的 ， 也 该 如 此 ， 使 我 们 可 以 敬 虔 、 端 正 、 平 安 无 事 的 度 日 。For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

³这 是 好 的 ， 在 神 我 们 救 主 面 前 可 蒙 悦 纳 。For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

⁴他 愿 意 万 人 得 救 ， 明 白 真 道 。Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

⁵因 为 只 有 一 位 神 ， 在 神 和 人 中 间 ， 只 有 一 位 中 保 ， 乃 是 降 世 为 人 的 基 督 耶 稣 ；For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

⁶他 舍 自 己 作 万 人 的 赎 价 ， 到 了 时 候 ， 这 事 必 证 明 出 来 。Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

⁷我 为 此 奉 派 作 传 道 的 ， 作 使 徒 ， 作 外 邦 人 的 师 傅 ， 教 导 他 们 相 信 ， 学 习 真 道 。 我 说 的 是 真 话 ， 并 不 是 谎 言 。Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

⁸我 愿 男 人 无 忿 怒 ， 无 争 论 （ 或 作 ： 疑 惑 ） ， 举 起 圣 洁 的 手 ， 随 处 祷 告 。I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

⁹又 愿 女 人 廉 耻 、 自 守 ， 以 正 派 衣 裳 为 妆 饰 ， 不 以 编 发 、 黄 金 、 珍 珠 ， 和 贵 价 的 衣 裳 为 妆 饰 ；In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

¹⁰只 要 有 善 行 ， 这 才 与 自 称 是 敬 神 的 女 人 相 宜 。But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

¹¹女 人 要 沉 静 学 道 ， 一 味 的 顺 服 。Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

¹²我 不 许 女 人 讲 道 ， 也 不 许 他 辖 管 男 人 ， 只 要 沉 静 。But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

¹³因 为 先 造 的 是 亚 当 ， 後 造 的 是 夏 娃 ；For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

¹⁴且 不 是 亚 当 被 引 诱 ， 乃 是 女 人 被 引 诱 ， 陷 在 罪 里 。And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

¹⁵然 而 ， 女 人 若 常 存 信 心 、 爱 心 ， 又 圣 洁 自 守 ， 就 必 在 生 产 上 得 救 。Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
