箴言第4章

¹众 子 啊 ， 要 听 父 亲 的 教 训 ， 留 心 得 知 聪 明 。Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

²因 我 所 给 你 们 的 是 好 教 训 ； 不 可 离 弃 我 的 法 则 （ 或 译 ： 指 教 ） 。For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.

³我 在 父 亲 面 前 为 孝 子 ， 在 母 亲 眼 中 为 独 一 的 娇 儿 。For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.

⁴父 亲 教 训 我 说 ： 你 心 要 存 记 我 的 言 语 ， 遵 守 我 的 命 令 ， 便 得 存 活 。He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.

⁵要 得 智 慧 ， 要 得 聪 明 ， 不 可 忘 记 ， 也 不 可 偏 离 我 口 中 的 言 语 。Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

⁶不 可 离 弃 智 慧 ， 智 慧 就 护 卫 你 ； 要 爱 他 ， 他 就 保 守 你 。Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

⁷智 慧 为 首 ； 所 以 ， 要 得 智 慧 。 在 你 一 切 所 得 之 内 必 得 聪 明 . （ 或 译 ： 用 你 一 切 所 得 的 去 换 聪 明 ） 。Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

⁸高 举 智 慧 ， 他 就 使 你 高 升 ； 怀 抱 智 慧 ， 他 就 使 你 尊 荣 。Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

⁹他 必 将 华 冠 加 在 你 头 上 ， 把 荣 冕 交 给 你 。She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

¹⁰我 儿 ， 你 要 听 受 我 的 言 语 ， 就 必 延 年 益 寿 。Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

¹¹我 已 指 教 你 走 智 慧 的 道 ， 引 导 你 行 正 直 的 路 。I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.

¹²你 行 走 ， 脚 步 必 不 致 狭 窄 ； 你 奔 跑 ， 也 不 致 跌 倒 。When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.

¹³要 持 定 训 诲 ， 不 可 放 松 ； 必 当 谨 守 ， 因 为 他 是 你 的 生 命 。Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

¹⁴不 可 行 恶 人 的 路 ； 不 要 走 坏 人 的 道 。Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men .

¹⁵要 躲 避 ， 不 可 经 过 ； 要 转 身 而 去 。Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

¹⁶这 等 人 若 不 行 恶 ， 不 得 睡 觉 ； 不 使 人 跌 倒 ， 睡 卧 不 安 ；For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

¹⁷因 为 他 们 以 奸 恶 吃 饼 ， 以 强 暴 喝 酒 。For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

¹⁸但 义 人 的 路 好 像 黎 明 的 光 ， 越 照 越 明 ， 直 到 日 午 。But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

¹⁹恶 人 的 道 好 像 幽 暗 ， 自 己 不 知 因 甚 麽 跌 倒 。The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

²⁰我 儿 ， 要 留 心 听 我 的 言 词 ， 侧 耳 听 我 的 话 语 ，My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

²¹都 不 可 离 你 的 眼 目 ， 要 存 记 在 你 心 中 。Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

²²因 为 得 着 他 的 ， 就 得 了 生 命 ， 又 得 了 医 全 体 的 良 药 。For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

²³你 要 保 守 你 心 ， 胜 过 保 守 一 切 （ 或 译 ： 你 要 切 切 保 守 你 心 ） ， 因 为 一 生 的 果 效 是 由 心 发 出 。Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

²⁴你 要 除 掉 邪 僻 的 口 ， 弃 绝 乖 谬 的 嘴 。Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

²⁵你 的 眼 目 要 向 前 正 看 ； 你 的 眼 睛 （ 原 文 是 皮 ） 当 向 前 直 观 。Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

²⁶要 修 平 你 脚 下 的 路 ， 坚 定 你 一 切 的 道 。Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

²⁷不 可 偏 向 左 右 ； 要 使 你 的 脚 离 开 邪 恶 。Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
