诗篇第40章
概览
诗篇第40篇兼有感恩与哀歌：大卫先欢庆耶和华如何把他从淤泥的坑里拉上来、把新歌放在他口中，随后转而恳求帮助，对抗逼近的新患难。在全诗中心，他宣告神所喜悦的不是祭物，而是甘心乐意遵行祂旨意的心。它的可贵之处在于，把追忆的拯救与眼前的需要联结起来，显明昨日的救恩为今日的祷告添力。
1（ 大 卫 的 诗 ， 交 与 伶 长 。 ） 我 曾 耐 性 等 候 耶 和 华 ； 他 垂 听 我 的 呼 求 。To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2他 从 祸 坑 里 ， 从 淤 泥 中 ， 把 我 拉 上 来 ， 使 我 的 脚 立 在 磐 石 上 ， 使 我 脚 步 稳 当 。He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3他 使 我 口 唱 新 歌 ， 就 是 赞 美 我 们 神 的 话 。 许 多 人 必 看 见 而 惧 怕 ， 并 要 倚 靠 耶 和 华 。And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it , and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
4那 倚 靠 耶 和 华 、 不 理 会 狂 傲 和 偏 向 虚 假 之 辈 的 ， 这 人 便 为 有 福 ！Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5耶 和 华 ─ 我 的 神 啊 ， 你 所 行 的 奇 事 ， 并 你 向 我 们 所 怀 的 意 念 甚 多 ， 不 能 向 你 陈 明 。 若 要 陈 明 ， 其 事 不 可 胜 数 。Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them , they are more than can be numbered.
6祭 物 和 礼 物 ， 你 不 喜 悦 ； 你 已 经 开 通 我 的 耳 朵 。 燔 祭 和 赎 罪 祭 非 你 所 要 。Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
7那 时 我 说 ： 看 哪 ， 我 来 了 ！ 我 的 事 在 经 卷 上 已 经 记 载 了 。Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
8我 的 神 啊 ， 我 乐 意 照 你 的 旨 意 行 ； 你 的 律 法 在 我 心 里 。I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
9我 在 大 会 中 宣 传 公 义 的 佳 音 ； 我 必 不 止 住 我 的 嘴 唇 。 耶 和 华 啊 ， 这 是 你 所 知 道 的 。I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
10我 未 曾 把 你 的 公 义 藏 在 心 里 ； 我 已 陈 明 你 的 信 实 和 你 的 救 恩 ； 我 在 大 会 中 未 曾 隐 瞒 你 的 慈 爱 和 诚 实 。I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.
11耶 和 华 啊 ， 求 你 不 要 向 我 止 住 你 的 慈 悲 ！ 愿 你 的 慈 爱 和 诚 实 常 常 保 佑 我 ！Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
12因 有 无 数 的 祸 患 围 困 我 ， 我 的 罪 孽 追 上 了 我 ， 使 我 不 能 昂 首 ； 这 罪 孽 比 我 的 头 发 还 多 ， 我 就 心 寒 胆 战 。For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.
13耶 和 华 啊 ， 求 你 开 恩 搭 救 我 ！ 耶 和 华 啊 ， 求 你 速 速 帮 助 我 ！Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.
14愿 那 些 寻 找 我 、 要 灭 我 命 的 ， 一 同 抱 愧 蒙 羞 ！ 愿 那 些 喜 悦 我 受 害 的 ， 退 後 受 辱 ！Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
15愿 那 些 对 我 说 阿 哈 、 阿 哈 的 ， 因 羞 愧 而 败 亡 ！Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
16愿 一 切 寻 求 你 的 ， 因 你 高 兴 欢 喜 ！ 愿 那 些 喜 爱 你 救 恩 的 ， 常 说 ： 当 尊 耶 和 华 为 大 ！Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
17但 我 是 困 苦 穷 乏 的 ， 主 仍 顾 念 我 ； 你 是 帮 助 我 的 ， 搭 救 我 的 。 神 啊 ， 求 你 不 要 耽 延 ！But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
